Here at OMGX we celebrate durability, recycling, and the outdoors. We work to support and inspire you, the community, and businesses to continue benefiting from what we love outside, our choices about gear and how we will or won’t use, and having and sharing what helps us all keep going at it, in a useful and not wasteful manner.

We sell what you may not find elsewhere, or for the same price.  We also sell and support the manufacturing of durable “small batch” new outdoor gear and clothing.

We are centrally located in town and at the gateway to (the oldest mountains in North America, the Saint Francois Mountains, right here in Missouri, just 90 miles south.) Here we have remote and gorgeous backpacking, paddling, rock climbing, trails…. and town climbing gyms, trails for hiking, dog walking, 4 full seasons, so many species of trees, predators, prey, good beer… nice.)

This store is the real deal. We sell and trade gear and clothes. We are dead honest, friendly, and informative. And we always have in store great items. We are always accepting your gently used items to sell on consignment. Then you get cash or store credit. Works very simple. We move things fast! And people want your gear!

We are constantly testing stuff out, going on adventures, in the landscape, the community, and learning more and more and growing. Founded in January of 2012, it is truly an organically-grown store, and rich with expertise and genuine kindness. At Old Mountains, we don’t have bags (unless a grocery bag will do fine), we remember you by your first name (unless you don’t like that), and we cater to your adventures out and about. And, we know this stuff sold here, and more importantly, the outdoor life, inside and out! We learn from the land, experiences, and mostly from you! What do you want and need?
